Through over 25 years of working in the food industry and serving their neighbors from Yolo County beyond, Carla and Jamell Wroten say its the connections and friendships they've developed that they value the most.
The couple -- proprietors of Winters' beloved local coffee shop, Steady Eddy's -- now hope to share their passion for quality craftsmanship and local ingredients from Yolo County with the wider world. The minority and woman-owned business is partnering with fellow small businesses to bring their goods online and make them easy to purchase wherever customers want to buy them.
In partnership with McNaughton Media, publisher of Yolo Magazine and the annual Best of Yolo contest, Steady Eddy's launched Yolo Boutique in 2020 to bring the best of Yolo County to the web through a fast and easy-to-use ecommerce shop. Among the products available now online are local olive oils, honey and Steady Eddy's coffee, merchandise and roasting subscriptions. The store sells through traditional web, Facebook, Amazon and eBay sales channels.
The store is organized by city and hopes to bring in vendors from across Yolo County. Products from local vendors in Davis, Woodland and Winters are competitively priced, available to be shipped, delivered locally, or picked up at Steady Eddy's. A 10% handling fee covers all costs.
Yolo Boutique partner Carla Wroten welcomes inquiries from potential vendors by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, visit https://yolo.boutique.
